A discount lowers a product's price. It's either a fixed amount or a percentage:

Attach a discount to a product with product_discount_id. On a subscription, set discount_for_initial_payment_only to apply it to the first payment only.
To stop offering a discount, set is_active to false. The dashboard then leaves it out of its pickers. The API still accepts it on products and orders, so remove it from your products too.
