Create a metered product

A metered product is for usage-based billing. You charge any amount, whenever you need to.

Before you begin, you can set up taxes, discounts, fees, groups and units to reuse. See Create product groups and pricing elements.

Enter product details

1. On the navigation bar, click + and select Add Product. Or go to Products › Products List and click +.
2. Enter the Product Name. For a basic product with amounts set in each order, you can stop here and skip to the price.
3. Optional: a Product ID, a Short Description, a Product Unit, and under More Options, a Long Description and a Product Group.
4. Click Next.

Choose the purchase type

Select Metered and click Next.

Enter product pricing

1. Enter the Price: the initial amount, including any tax. Enter 0 to only register the customer's card at first.
2. Choose the Currency.
3. Optional: click Show Fee and Discount for a Fee or Discount, and select a Tax.
4. To stop users changing the price in orders, turn on Lock Price.
5. Click Finish.

BillPro creates the product. You can now use it in orders.
